About Ahmed Salama

I am an IGCSE Physics teacher with more than 12 years of teaching experience across Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia. For the past nine years, I have specialised in international physics curricula, including Cambridge IGCSE and AP Physics. I currently teach IGCSE Physics at Al-Rowad International School in Riyadh, having previously taught at Alhussan International School.

My teaching approach begins with genuine understanding, then helps students apply that understanding to exam questions accurately and confidently — so they can achieve the grades they are aiming for.

I am currently working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK and have been recognised as a Highly Effective Teacher, with a rating above 95%, for three consecutive years at Al-Rowad International School.

Topic 1Motion, forces and energy

Chapter 1 · Making measurements

Chapter 1

Physical quantities & measurement

Lengths, volumes, time intervals, repeated measurements, pendulum period and vector addition.

Chapter 2 · Motion

Chapter 2

Motion

Explore motion, speed and distance–time and speed–time graph interpretation.

Chapter 2

Acceleration & free fall

Investigate acceleration, falling objects, air resistance, vacuum and parachute effects.

Chapter 3 · Mass, weight & density

Chapter 3

Mass, weight & density

Compare mass and weight; determine density of liquids, regular and irregular solids, and predict floating.
